Visit the splendor of Chateaux of Chantilly, the Musee Vivant Du Cheval (The Living Horse Museum), and the famous Conde Museum. The chateaux boasts furniture once commissioned by Marie-Antoinette and Louis XVI and the Conde museum inside is the second most important collection of paintings and drawings in France. It has almost 1,000 Old Master paintings including important collections from the Ecole Francaise (Poussin, Nattier, Watteau, Ingres, Delacroix), as well as masterpieces from the Italian painters (Fra Angelico, Raphael, Carrache). It also has more than 3,000 Old Master drawings, which are on display in the former Hunt Dining Room. For an optional lunch, we’ll recommend one of Chantilly’s fine restaurants. Enjoy a whipped cream desert in the actual birthplace of whipped cream, Chantilly. After, you will discover the gardens of the chateaux followed by a guided visit of the Great Stables of Chantilly. You will end the day with a wonderful equestrian show at the “Musée Vivant du Cheval” where riders, dressed in the museum’s costumes, have their horses perform «airs » for visitors.
