Now imagine being in Paris over Easter, a time when the French patisseries will have windows full of delightful chocolate creations for you to indulge in. Locals will be enjoying long lunches with family and friends and on Good Friday church bells will ring out across the city.

La Sainte-Chapelle

Visit a classical music concert at La Sainte-Chapelle. Located near Notre Dame, La Sainte-Chapelle is a stunning Gothic chapel, commissioned by Louis IX in the 13th century. The chapel is well known for its breathtaking stained glass windows.

Centre Pompidou

With over 100,000 works, the collections of modern art at the Centre Pompidou are the largest in Europe.

A visit to this uniquely designed, and incredibly famous, museum in Paris is a must.  The Centre Pompidou is open every day (except Tuesdays) from 11am-10pm. Standard tickets cost 14 EUR.

Paris Marathon

The Paris Marathon takes place on the 9th April 2017. Mass registrations for this years event have closed but there are still some opportunities to register – you can find out more here.

If you’re not prepared for the race, you can still enjoy the atmosphere on the day by heading out to show your support for all the runners. It’s certain to be a wonderful experience.


Easter Egg Hunt at the Eiffel Tower

The annual Easter egg hunt organised by the Secours Populaire charity will take place on Easter Sunday and Easter Monday in front of the Eiffel Tower on the Champ-de-Mars from 10 AM to 5 PM. There is a small fee (around 5 EUR) to buy a ‘hunting licence’ which allows you to participate in many activities, including the search for 20,000 Easter Eggs! If you’re spending Easter in Paris this is great for kids and adults alike!
