DAY 1 : BLOIS
Transfer to the city of Blois in the afternoon.
Time to visit the splendid castle of Blois and the gothic church, and stroll along the ancient streets of the city.

First biking day, follow the shores of the fascinating and wild Loire river up to the royal castle of Amboise. Wine tasting in a local Wine cellar.

Time to visit the Clos Lucé castle, home of the famous Leonardo de Vinci where he spent the last years of his life.

DAY 4 : VOUVRAY – TOURS – VILLANDRY 38 KM = 23 miles
After a short ride, arrive in Tours, the largest city of this region. Visit the famous gothic Cathedral and its nearby ancient districts. Bike along the Cher river, then arrive at Villandry castle, a famous site housing one of the most beautiful Jardins ‘à la française’.

DAY 5 : VILLANDRY – CHINON 37 KM = 22 miles
Bike along the wild shores of the Loire river and vineyards and fields and arrive to the Sleeping Beauty’s castle in Ussé. Continue to Chinon city overlooked by the ruins of the fortress of Charles the 8th, where Joan of Arc stayed. Lovely town located on the banks of the Vienne river.

DAY 6 : CHINON – AZAY LE RIDEAU 45 KM = 27 miles
From Chinon to Azay le Rideau, ride along beautiful natural forests and arrive at Azay-le-Rideau castle nestled in the full of charm Indre river valley: romantic riverbanks, beautiful limestone houses and the fairytale castle described as “a diamond” by the famous French writer Honoré de Balzac (The Magic Skin).

DAY 7 : AZAY LE RIDEAU – CHENONCEAUX 60 KM = 37 miles
Today you will leave the Indre river trail to follow the Cher river valley. See Montbazon, then Bléré, a charming small town.
Continue on to discover and visit the famous castle of Chenonceaux and its long gallery crossing over the river. See the beautiful gardens made for Catherine of Medicis and Diane de Poitiers.
