Visit two of the most splendid châteaux in the Loire Valley, Château de Chenonceau and Château de Chambord. Château de Chenonceau was built on the site of an old mill on the River Cher, and designed by the French Renaissance architect Philibert Delorme. Its owners have included King Henry II of France(who gave the château to his mistress, Diane de Poitiers), Catherine de Medici and the Duke or Bourbon.
Lunch will be at local wine producer, where you will enjoy fineregional wines, cheeses and charcuterie.
After lunch, you will visit the largest chateau in the Loire valley, Château de Chambord. Chambord is masterpiece of French Renaissance architecture. Discover its famous double helix staircase, François I and Louis XIV’s apartments and its sumptuous décor.
